At the core of Strange Sounds From Beyond is an insatiable curiosity that drives its design. More than anything, we are inspired by the infinite diversity of life on display and the ever-evolving forms of music expression. By giving a platform to intriguing, unorthodox sounds and off-grid artists, we seek to dismantle genre borders and transcend existing notions surrounding what good music can be.

Now in our third iteration, Strange Sounds From Beyond is set to resonate over the green waterfronted fields of Noorderlicht once again, its organic landscape interlaced with the industrial backdrop of NDSM/De Helling to create an immersive experience. Setting the tone for the rest of the festival season, our passion project will come to life at the dawn of summer on the weekend of June 23 and 24. The expanded program of not one, but two days this year will grant us the space to do even more of what we love.
